There’s no reason Doodle Baseball should feel competitive. It’s literally a browser mini-game where animated snack foods play baseball. And yet somehow, after a few rounds of the Google Doodle Baseball game, I found myself sitting closer to the screen, fully focused, trying not to ruin my streak with one badly timed swing. That’s when I realized something important about doodle baseball: The game is way more addictive than it looks.
